What began as a bold idea became the premier polo destination in the USA, and the foundation which Wellington's entire equestrian identity was built.
In 1978, visionary William T. "Bill" Ylvisaker changed the landscape of South Florida forever when he created the region's very first polo fields in Wellington, introducing the sport and a way of life to a community that would never be the same.
Our roots don't just run deep. They are Wellington.
At the Center of Wellington’s Rise
As private polo fields flourished across Wellington and Palm Beach through the 1990s, the region evolved into a world-class stage for high-goal competition, cementing Wellington’s reputation as the equestrian capital of the United States.
With the purchase of Palm Beach Polo Club & Preserve by local developer Glenn Straub, the property entered a new chapter, transforming into the luxurious residential community residents call home today.
Through every era of Wellington’s rise, Palm Beach Polo Club has remained at the center of it all: the original, the standard, and the soul of the community.
